Dear Friends,
My name is Lola. I was a showgirl (Copacabana, NYC, 1947) among many other things. I have recently been appointed (and by “appointed” I mean appointed myself) spokesdog of Garland Collection. As the official unofficial spokesdog I will be your go-to gal for all Garland news and events. My parents and the Garland Collection team say that I have a vivid imagination (and by vivid imagination, they say I’m a pathological liar), but as my self-published memoir explains, I have had an extraordinary and well-lived life. I’m a legend in my own mind.
These days, I’m Garland’s eyes and ears of style, using everything I learned from my role in Watergate (never wear heels to a break-in), the day I beat Bobby Riggs in the Battle of the Sexes (a mean serve and short skirts work equally well in competition), and my years of ruling the world (like I always tell my best friend Gayle — “It’s all about the aha moments!”) to give you all the latest jewelry news from Garland Collection fine jewelry and Garland Collects. As an arbiter of fashion (think chic bob and dark sunglasses), I will also be sharing my musings on style, design, shelter, and living, as I relay up to the minute Garland news (everything I know I learned from Brian Williams), so check back often.
